The Corniche was available as coupé or convertible, and used the standard Rolls-Royce V8 engine. A three-speed automatic transmission was standard. A four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs was augmented with a hydraulic self-levelling system using the same system as Citroën, but without pneumatic springs. Four wheel disc brakes were specified, with ventilated discs added for 1972.
The Corniche received a mild restyling in the spring of 1977. Difference included rack-and-pinion steering, alloy and rubber bumpers, aluminium radiator, oil cooler and a bi-level air conditioning system was added. Later changes included a modified rear independent suspension in March 1979. A total of 1090 Saloons, and 3239 Convertibles were produced.
This Rolls Royce Corniche is described by the vendor as driving very well. It comes having had a recent service which included gearbox and differential oil changes, new HT leads, new spark plugs and filters changed. All the old MOTs are present and there is full service history with lots of paperwork.
