The Ferrari 550 Maranello is a two-seat grand tourer
manufactured from 1996 and is powered by a front-engined V12. It
shared its platform and 5,474cc engine with the 456 but was
positioned as the company's high-end model. It featured a luxurious
and spacious interior and, unusually for a Ferrari, the boot could
accommodate a set of golf clubs. The 550 has a tubular steel frame
chassis with light aluminium bodywork. Power steering is variable
assist and, to be expected of a car with this performance, disc
brakes are fitted all round. Acceleration is an impressive 4.2
seconds 0 to 60mph and top speed a reported 199mph. In total, 3,083
Ferrari 550's were produced.

This lovely example, finished in Tour de France blue, has
covered a mere 29,000 miles and benefitted from a £2,000 service
with Ferrari specialists Autofficina in September 2016. Described
as in stunning condition, this example was originally imported to
Japan by Cornes who continued to service the car; the original
Ferrari manual and tools are present as is the service booklet. The
coachwork is in very good order as is the contrasting tan leather
interior and we are pleased to advise this 550 Maranello drives
with no known faults. The car comes supplied with a V5 registration
document and a current MoT test certificate valid until October
2017.The value of Ferrari 550's has increased significantly of late
and this example is very competitively estimated.

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THIS LOT
HAS HAD TO BE WITHDRAWN.
