The Ford Anglia is a car that was manufactured from 1939
through until 1967. A total of 1,594,486 Anglias were produced. The
fourth Anglia model, the 105E, was introduced in 1959. Its
American-influenced styling included a sweeping nose line, and on
deluxe versions, a full-width slanted chrome grille in between
prominent headlamps. Its smoothly sloped line looked more like a
1950s Studebaker, possibly because its British designers used
wind-tunnel testing and streamlining. The car sported a
backward-slanted rear window (so that it would remain clear in
rain, according to contemporary marketing claims) this styling was
also used on the Consul Classic. In South Africa, the Anglia's
popularity came late. Sales really took off in early 1966, with the
introduction of the Anglia Superproduction continued longer in
South Africa than anywhere else; it was built alongside the Escort
from remaining stock until the end of 1968.

Originally supplied by Crystal of Hull Ltd. on
7th July 1967, this Ford Anglia is a
one-owner vehicle from new and comes supplied with the original
buff logbook and a V5 registration document, together with the
original service and handbook. Also supplied are a
fine collection of MoT test certificates dating back to 1978 when
the mileage was 19,989, thus confirming the current odometer
reading of 38,917 to be correct. Having been dry stored
since 1999, although we are advised she was started
regularly, LKH 912E is in sound original condition,
albeit not concours. She will need a little time and
effort to bring her back to a very high standard, however where
else can you find a 49 year old Ford Anglia that has only had one
owner and has covered such a low mileage. Finished in spruce green
with matching trim, this 105E is offered at no reserve
and could well be a bargain.
