1971 JAGUAR E-TYPE Fixed Head Coupe

1971 Jaguar E type 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe finished in original Signal red with contrasting black hide interior and black carpets. It was delivered new by Jaguar Main dealers P.J.Evans of Birmingham to Philip Godfrey on the 22nd of March 1971. This absolutely fabulous example is very difficult to fault.  In 45 years it has had just five owners and from its condition today, the restoration largely carried out by the penultimate custodian was done to a very high standard. More recently the current owner has added some sensible upgrades in the form of a High Torque starter motor and new cross latticed competition chrome wire wheels which are slightly wider and improve the road holding. The car is exceptionally good on the road with an excellent power delivery and road holding and braking to match.  The coachwork is unblemished and the interior of the motor car shows only minimal signs of wear. The series II specification was improved from the earlier model in various ways but mainly with better braking and upgrades to the cooling system in the form of more robust twin cooling fans. In our considered opinion, this car will continue to appreciate from its current value, provided it is kept to the high standard previously exercised. Superb value for a classic E type in this condition at £95,000
