- Delightful example of a rare Special Coupe
- Subject to an extensive mechanical overhaul
- Offered with a collection of invoices, V5C and Green log book
This delightful and rare classic British Coupe was acquired by the vendor in 2008 - it had been stored for 33 years in a heated garage. The bodywork remained very good, but the interior was dirty and badly worn and the mechanical components in a parlous state. The inside was therefore thoroughly refurbished, the engine extensively overhauled by T&L Engineering of Elstowe, Beds, and the steering, braking and suspension components repaired or renewed as required. The vendor now grades the two-tone Grey bodywork and 1296cc engine as 'excellent' and the paintwork, Light Blue trim and four-speed manual transmission as 'good'. He says he's tried to present the car as you would expect an 83 year old vehicle to be, and the only concessions to modernity are the flashing indicators. 'APF 881' is equipped with new Longstone tyres and comes complete with green log book, V5, collection of invoices, operation manual and maintenance diagrams.
