The Maserati GranTurismo heralded the turning point in Maserati’s fortunes. Unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor show this stunning 2 door Coupe offered seating in comfort for four adults.
The car was initially launched with a 4.2 litre normally aspirated V8 engine designed in conjunction with Ferrari. Offering a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution, the Granturismo offered full sports car dynamics whilst still retaining a sense practicality. Following its huge success Maserati went on to launch the GranTurismo 4.7 S Automatic derivative in 2009. Power came from an enlarged 4.2 litre block which produced 440 bhp, resulting in a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds on to an impressive top speed 188 mph. The car came as standard fitted with a ZF 6 Speed transmission, Skyhook suspension system, 20" Alloy wheels.
The 4.7 litre Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic offered here at Hofmanns is a 2011 “11 plate” finished in Nero Carbonio with Nero Black leather interior. Having covered a mere 27,813 miles, this stunning two owner example boasts a full Maserati Service history most recently carried out by HR Owen London at 22,566 miles.
