This car features a Henry Ford steel body. The fenders however are in perfect condition, and therefore may perhaps be aftermarket steel pieces. In building the car, the objective was to retain the original exterior styling, while replacing the mechanics with new and reliable everyday running gear. This was accomplished with an '86 Lincoln fuel-injected motor and matching rebuilt automatic transmission with overdrive. The car runs great (and cool) on regular gas. Additionally, the rebuild included a new 9 Ford rear end, front disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, cruise control, heavy-duty alternator, Vintique powder-coated wheels with chrome spokes and a (never used) trailer hitch. It is undercoated and the floor was insulated. The interior is gray mohair-like fabric. The dash is hand painted wood grain. The exterior is an older painted black patina look. The current owner did a national search for a car to build and found this one right here in Scottsdale. There is no known rust anywhere on the car and it is truly an everyday driver.
