Just arrived in UK from Italy, this amazing time warp example of one of the very first series Mk1 Cortina's, in it's original colour of Ermine White,
being the deluxe 2 door model it has the two tone Blue vinyl interior with a front bench seat, four speed column gearchange and the 1200cc engine.
The first series of the pre-airflow models with the strip speedometer
were only produced for about 9 months.
This one has only had one lady owner from new and spent most of its life in Rome up till late 1985 when it was last serviced at 49,289 kms and then put into storage at there country house, it now has only covered 49,719kms.
We have just taken the car out of it's 27 years slumber, where it had been cared for by her younger brother, after cleaning out the old petrol her engine is running very sweetly.
Although it has in its history had some paintwork and there is some minor bumps & marks as having spent its life in the traffic of Rome.
It is very rare to find an example like this that has never had any
welded repairs in it's life, no rust at all, except a minor area in the
bottom of spare wheel well, where a magazine had been left under the
spare wheel over the drainage bung.
She is now all Mot'd and UK registered on a six digit Age related Historic registration number, having had a oil & filter, plugs service, with also original Girling clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder, wheel brake cylinders & flexible hoses all round. The listed price has been amended to cover these costs.
